Peter Templar is drawing his inspiration from film music and TV series from the 70’s and 80’s. He is adding to it his own experience of electro/house music. He creates a bewitching alchemy where the acoustic melodies get depraved by electronic sounds without concessions.

In 2007, Peter Templar has composed and produced « Chillout Selection level 1 » and « Lounge Selection level 1 », distributed by The Orchard (iTunes, eMusic, Napster, etc…). During this same year, more than 10’000 titles were sold online.

Between 2008 and 2009, he delivered “Chillout Selection level 2“ , “…A tribute to the european immigrant…” as he likes to say. In fact, a significant evolution in his perception of lounge music and electro compositipon. Peter Templar has also co produced different titles with other artists such as Julian or Dee Jerome. A “best of” his 2007 titles has been released in March 2008.

Since 2010, Peter Templar is moving his music orientation toa mix from chillout to tech house style. He’s giving more time for Live sessions and a remix EP of Chillout Level 2 is released with famous DJ/Producers.

CHRONOLOGY

• 1970 Born in Geneva (Switzerland).
• 1986 Compose and record titles with a synthesiser, a drum machine and a hi-fi stereo. Explore electro compositions and experiences during 10 years.
• 1998 Starts composing and producing music with computers by using loops.
• 2003 Develops the use of loops as source of sounds for his compositions. Produces his first electo-accoustic titles. Some of them will be sued by big industries for their video clips.
• 2006 Song Wire Music Publishing becomes his publisher and The Orchard the exclusive digital distributor.
• 2007 First album « Chillout Selection Level 1 » comes out in January and the second album « Lounge selection Level 1 » in June. « Buzz with me » takes care of his online communication. 50’000 visitors listen to his music on the web and more than 10’000 titles are sold on-line. First “club track” called “Smile” produced with Dee Jerome, free to download for 2007 summer clubers and DJ’s.
• 2008 The release “The very best of LEVEL 1″ is out in May to close the adventure of LEVEL 1. A single release called “For You”- the result of a collaboration with JULIAN (French singer and author) – is out in July . About 20’000 tracks of his compositions are sold online during this year.
• 2009 The first opus of LEVEL 2 is out on january as “Chillout Selection LEVEL 2″. A music video is released on february with the track “Kazakh Street”. Peter Templar is sollicited to realize the lounge part of Precious 02 Compilation as Artistic Director. He start live sessions, during the famous “Perceptions afterworks parties” in Switzerland.
• 2010 The best tracks of his album Chillout Level 2 are remixed by famous DJ/Producers (Daniel Shems & DJ Téo Moss, Olivier Dax, Angel Anx, DaBinciCode, Mariano Santos). Live sessions and new tech house orientation are taking more and more place.
